Rebuilding Together Oakland CYES Partnership
In Fall 2008, CYES worked with Rebuilding Together Oakland to provide CYES home audits as part of volunteer renovations at homes in the Elmhurst neighborhood in East Oakland.
CYES continues to work with Rebuilding Together Oakland into 2010, by arranging a special partnership to provide RTO clients with priority CYES Green House Calls
Solar & Energy Efficiency Green Careers Partners
The SEE Green Careers collaboration is a free five-week solar installer and energy
efficiency training program for 18-23 year olds. The 17-person SEE Green
Careers pilot class began training on January 12th, 2009, at the Spanish
Speaking Citizen's Foundation building in the Fruitvale area of Oakland.

Global Exchange Green Career Program Internship Partnership
Global Exchange is a human rights and development organization based in San Francisco.Their
Green Career program is a workforce development collaboration with City
College of San Francisco, and placed two paid interns at Rising Sun
in Summer 2009.
Greening Our Neighborhoods Partnership
In Summer 2008, the Greenlining Institute spearheaded a study to show what it
would take to bring a low-income neighborhood to the energy and water
efficiency standards of a model "green" neighborhood. Rising Sun assisted
with outreach and provided energy audits and services to the community's
residences through its California Youth Energy Services program.
Richmond Youth Solar Training and Installation Project
During CYES 2008, Rising Sun's Richmond Youth Energy Specialists participated in a 6-day, 32 hour training in the basics of solar electricity and installation, hosted by our Partners in Richmond.
